DR. NASRA WARSAME, MD

Dr. Warsame is a family physician who has been practicing medicine since 2011. She practiced both in the U.S. and Canada. She completed her residency in Wisconsin and worked there for 4 years.

Since 2015, she has been working as a family physician in Pickering. Family medicine emphasizes the importance of practicing medicine in the rich context of the patient’s family, culture, and community. She loves the flexibility family practice offers, the diverse patient population it allows, and its heavy emphasis on preventative health and counselling.

Dr. Warsame states she enjoys being a family physician. It has given her the ability to create social change through medicine and gifted her with the skills to become a more compassionate and culturally-sensitive family physician that can create change on the individual level.
